High End Hosting
Ideal for heavy applications that don't quite justify a dedicated server.
It can be used for either a very large Web site or an SQL Database. The server
is shared with other users, but only 6 to 10 sites or databases are kept on
the server. The server is backed up regularly, though daily backups are not
guaranteed. Servers (not individual sites or databases) are monitored 24 hours
a day, and in the event of any server-wide failure, we will respond within a
maximum of 8 hours (naturally, response is almost immediate during business
hours). Individual database or Website restoration from backup (requested by
client) is charged at $120 per hour.
Server Co-location / Co-hosting
You supply and configure all hardware (in standard rack-mount case) and
software. We plug it into our rack and connect it to the network. Upon request
co-located servers can be monitored 24 hours a day and in the event of a
failure a message sent to the client via pager or email. Alternatively, the
advice can be sent to our duty technician who will respond only in accordance
with a prearranged maintenance agreement. Co-located servers are not backed up
or maintained by e²; that is the client's responsibility. Physical
access to your server can be gained by arrangement during business hours (and
for a fee after hours), but you will carry out most maintenance tasks
remotely.

Advanced Hosting Options
Mission Critical Business Servers
e² offers custom developed hosting solutions for virtually every
need. If you have a mission critical Internet application, web site or
database that requires a specialised hosting, talk to to us; we will
help you with a high performance, redundant server solution that is designed
to minimise waiting time and downtime.
Naturally, such solutions are POA; contact our sales
staff for details.
Database Hosting
Available with hosting services from Business Site and up. We use and
recommend PostgreSQL. Microsoft Access is available, but is not recommended
for speed, scalability, and backup facilities.
- Microsoft Access databases are constrained by the disk space included in your hosting package.
- PostgreSQL databases up to 150 MiB are free; larger databases POA.
Credit Card Processing / E-Commerce
The e² Credit Card Gateway provides for real-time processing of credit
cards directly from your Web site. Let us take care of all the security issues
and protect you and your customers. When you receive an order, you know that
it has been paid for! There are two ways that you can implement this facility.
